Friday

11:00am

Most of us will have arrived between 11am and 3pm at the AirBnb to drop off our things and get ready for the first evening!

3:00pm

Once we’re ready to start exploring and moving our legs, we will go into town to explore either the Downtown Mall or the UVA Grounds, near where I work/school. Which one depends entirely on the energy of the group and where we will be eating!

We can walk around the grounds before dinner, visit The Corner (it’s like a university version of downtown) and see where I spend most of my time!

Or we can walk the downtown mall if our restaurant is nearby!

5:00pm

My very first night in Cville was spent at a rooftop bar (Trophy Room!). I am hoping to find a spot with a patio where we can step out and take in the same views, and maybe you’ll go to bed as excited as I did on my first night!

Up on the Roof

UP on the Roof, where elevated dining meets sweeping views of the city, the Blue Ridge Mountains and beyond. From thoughtfully crafted dishes to seasonal cocktails, every detail is designed to pair perfectly with golden hour.

Trophy Room

Full of playful spins on comfort food staples, the menu pairs bold, approachable flavors with a craft cocktail program designed for everything from game day gatherings to late-night drinks with friends

The Alley Light

For a non-rooftop option in the downtown mall, Tucked away in the side streets of Charlottesville's Downtown Mall, The Alley Light offers classic French shared plates, craft cocktails and small grower wines in a casually elegant atmosphere.

After dinner we will head back to the AirBnB to settle in, maybe play a few games, and wind down.

Saturday

9:00am

We will wake up early if the weather and the group favor a trail walk. If we decide not to do any outdoor walking, we can slow down and grab a longer brunch in town before exploring the vineyards!

Bodo’s Bagels

Authentic New York water bagels! A local favorite, must-visit if you like bagels!

Farm Bell Kitchen

Farm Bell Kitchen offers locally-inspired, new-Southern cuisine by blending traditional ingredients with modern culinary techniques, incorporating rich flavors, and embracing the farm-to-fork movement by partnering with local purveyors.

Dutch Pantry

Roadside stop Amish bakery + goods outside of town and takes pick-up orders!

If the leaves haven’t all dropped, we will go for a stroll through one of the more relaxing trails at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello, where the boardwalks and well-worn paths will reduce the risks of typical national park hiking (like ticks).

Saunders-Monticello Trail

With native hardwood forest, deep ravines, and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Saunders-Monticello Trail winds its way toward Monticello and back in a very manageable four miles.

The Saunders-Monticello Trail is within a larger park system of trails that are open to the public daily. Please observe all signage at the park.

Dinner + Games

12:00pm

After our walk we can stop somewhere for lunch, or head straight back to the AirBnb for lunch at “home” and some quality free time (shower, nap, use wifi, etc.). Do whatever you need to do to recharge; if there are water concerns some of us can go up to my house to shower as well.

Once we are all recharged and freshened up, we will make our way out to see some (or at least one) vineyards! Most offer table reservations for a little under 2 hours, but all have open seating on the patios or lawns. The two vineyards pictured here are just a couple of options that are close to the AirBnb. We have TONS of vineyards/wineries, so we may choose a different one.

Vineyard

Merrie Mill

Merrie Mill has a beautiful, whimsical 5,000-square-foot tasting room perfect for the summer and winter. The centerpiece, a large wood-burning fireplace, keeps guests warm on chilly days.

Southwest Mountain

SMV offers a refined yet welcoming winery experience shaped by landscape, season, and thoughtful hospitality. Set among the rolling hills of Keswick, the estate invites you to slow down, explore, and experience Virginia wine at its source.

After the vineyard(s?), we will head back to the AirBnb for game night! Michael will bring us a full pasta spread from Luce! Bring (or reach out to me about) any games you think would be fun to play!
